Engineering Mechanics: Statics
E113 (Group B)- Engineering Mechanics: Statics. This course is intended to teach the first-year students at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Misan. |
The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the effects of different types of forces on idealized rigid bodies in order to carry out a design in civil engineering. This understanding requires a knowledge not only about physics and mathematics of mechanics, but also to; idealize the geometry configuration of the rigid body, tackle the effect of different types of force systems on a rigid body, the type of the materials, and types of constraints that govern the behavior of the mechanics of rigid bodies and thus the structures. |
