The effectiveness of a guidance program in developing learning strategies among primary school teachers in Maysan Governorate.

Abstract
The current research aimed to develop a guidance program focused on developing learning strategies among primary school teachers in Maysan Governorate. The researcher relied on psychological and guidance literature to develop the research instrument, which initially consisted of ten items. Apparent validity was verified by presenting the instrument to a group of judges, while construct validity was confirmed by applying the instrument to a sample of (200) male and female primary school teachers. The researcher relied on the weighted mean and percentage weight to determine the effectiveness of the items. The results showed that seven items received a weighted mean of less than (3), necessitating the development of an eight-session program. The program was presented in its initial form to specialized experts to obtain their opinions, and all sessions achieved an acceptance rate exceeding (80%). The program was applied to a random sample of (25) male and female teachers, and the results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the post-application, as the calculated t-value reached (24.89), which is higher than the tabular value of (2.010) at a significance level of (0.05). These results indicate that the guidance program has a tangible impact on developing educational and cognitive capabilities in the field of learning strategies among primary school teachers.
