Engineering Mechanics: Statics
|
E113 (Group A)- Engineering Mechanics: Statics. This course is intended to teach the first-year students at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Misan. |
|
The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the effects of different types of forces on idealized rigid bodies in order to carry out a design in civil engineering. This understanding requires a knowledge not only about physics and mathematics of mechanics, but also to; idealize the geometry configuration of the rigid body, tackle the effect of different types of force systems on a rigid body, the type of the materials, and types of constraints that govern the behavior of the mechanics of rigid bodies and thus the structures. |

engineering geology
This course introduces the topics of rocks and minerals, structural geology, factors affecting earth crust, soil, physical and mechanical properties of soils and rocks, stresses in rocks, underground water geology and geological maps.
