Countering the Crime of Trafficking in Persons Committed by an Organized Criminal Group

Abstract

Human trafficking is one of the most dangerous crimes at the international and national levels. The danger of this crime is compounded if it is perpetrated by organized criminal groups. In this regard, the international legislator has adopted a special convention to combat it, namely, the U.N. Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, Supplementing the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime, according to which states - participants were encouraged to use various mechanisms to address and deter them, especially through legislative measures in this regard
